Dr. Nikki Ezeani is the founder of National Association of Nigerian Nurse Practitioners USA- DMV (NANNPU-DMV). She is the CEO/Owner of Lomack Primary Care, Inc – a neighborhood
nurse practitioner clinic focused on internal medicine practice with emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention, and medical management. She has authored/co-authored many research projects on diabetes, obesity, prostate cancer, hormone replacement therapy, and heart disease among women. Her recent research publication on “Guideline Use in Asthma Management for Primary Care Providers”; has over a thousand downloads.
With over 23 years of outstanding clinical experience, Dr. Ezeani has worked in different healthcare settings: acute care, skilled nursing, Rehabilitation centers, dialysis centers, Ventilation-dependent center, and long-term care. She is an active member of Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland (NPAM), and currently sits on the legislative board. She worked diligently with NPAM leaders & other legislative members to gain Nurse Practitioner Full Practice Authority Act of 2015 SB723/HB 999 signed by Governor Larry Hogan.
She serves as a mentor for new certified nurse practitioners under Maryland board of nursing as a requirement for new NP applicants for certification after the FPA legislation repealed the attestation. Also, a preceptor for student NP members of NPAM and NANNPU-DMV. Dr. Ezeani’s vision for NANNPU-DMV is to increase visibility and credibility of Nigerian Nurse Practitioners within the healthcare community, at both the national and state levels of government, and with consumers throughout Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
