My name is Chinyere Otuya. I have more than 13-years of experience in multiple areas of nursing. I graduated from Prince George’s Community College (Maryland) with an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (ADN) in 2006. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2012 (Kaplan University) with honors/Cum Laude and Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Certification on Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Board certification in psychiatric mental health nursing in 2019. My work experiences started from Washington Hospital Center (WHC) in the Medical-Surgical unit from 2006 to 2009. I moved on to work as a Psychiatric emergency program as a psychiatric nurse with the District of Columbia Department of Mental Health. I eventually transferred to the Department on Disability Services and has been there for more than six years working as a Nurse Consultant. I also have experience in case management, home health, and oncology. I am a member of the nursing honor society – Sigma Theta Tau International Inc. Also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success/National Society of Collegiate scholars. I bring with me these experiences to contribute my share to this group.
